After a bit of searching around, I found that this place was among the best price value and location based on my needs. This is my first time renting a storage unit, and I had the pleasure of speaking with Chad, the property manager, when I went to check this place out. Great guy, friendly, informative, accommodating. Not only did he answer my questions, but he also explained why. I was just looking for a little extra space to store some of my, let's be honest, junk. He asked what my purpose/needs were for a unit, i.e., just some stuff or a whole house worth. He was straight to the point, didn't try to up-sell me on a bigger unit than I needed, nor did he try to push thier additional items they offer like locks, boxes, blankets, etc... Very accommodating hours of service, the entire grounds are secure and monitored by cameras. I feel very comfortable storing my stuff here and have already recommended this place to a friend of mine. I would definitely recommend, at least, checking this place out if you are in need of additional storage space! Upon my most recent visit to my locker (10/11/24). I had the pleasure of meeting Megan and Ashley. One is a property manager and one in training. They both greeted me with a friendly smile and hello and asked how they could be of service. Megan was kind and accommodating when helping me with updating my payment plan. I asked about any security checks on the property, and they said they performed them on a regular basis and assured me that if something wasn't right, they would contact the parties involved. I mentioned to them that potholes were becoming an issue for me. They noted that I wasn't the first and that the facility was making arrangements to fix them. All in all, I'm still very satisfied with my experiences with them and will continue to be a customer. Thanks again, Megan and Ashley, for your help!

From the reviews you can read all the negative about this facility. It is severely in disrepair, the pot holes are horrendous, many times the gate was open and there wasn't any staff at the facility for months. However, I did move out as I am getting ready to move out of state and I went to the property to try and do my move out and had the chance to meet the new manager Megan. I was surprised to find her outside doing some parking lot clean up, she was so friendly and so helpful processing my move out. I am hopeful that with someone attentive and determined this property can become so much better than it's current state. Other than the other reviews, the location is local for me, easy to get in and out of, and the prices were great for what I needed the facility for.

Looks like new management is turning things around. The old guard here was horrible, and the marks of neglect still exist. But it sounds as though the potholes are going to get filled in, and I can say for certain the front desk is now staffed regularly and professionally!

I’ve been renting three units at the Eagan location since spring of 2024. I got the impression the previous manager simply hated her job and merely tolerated us tenants. I recently met the new manager, Megan, and what a difference! Megan seems to actually be competent and care about how the place looks and operates. The property is already looking better thanks to her, I’m sure, but I hope management sees fit to also fill the ridiculous potholes.

The new manager does a great job! She is pleasant, always helpful and knowledgeable about her job. My only complaint is there are a lot of potholes. Hopefully upper management will decide to invest some money to correct that problem.

Good storage and prices, but do not buy anything you may need to return as you will not get a refund and they still awe me for items. Said they need to speak to management. I gave them the items and I never got a response. I am out of the items and the $$ money. They wanted to credit my storage account but I was checking out so there was nothing to credit. I would rent from them again, and ask for my credit, just not purchase any items, I may need to return.

We rented a garage here and the next day I got a call that I had put the lock on incorrectly,so pleased to find out they do security checks and had a call right away about it!Good customer service!!🙂

Friendly and knowledgeable service from Chad. Truly got everything I needed and all questions answered on the first visit. Quick set up and I was done. 4 stars because I had some trouble paying my bill. The online portal showed I had nothing due, so I couldn’t use it. When I called it told me $111 was due but the automated phone service wouldn’t register my cc number (I tried 7 different times in 3 different calls). Finally, Chad (saved the day) called me back and processed my payment through the phone in 2 mins.

Rented my unit for several years so when I came to clear out, everything was different. With the help of Chad Haines, though, everything was a breeze. He took the time to help me navigate both the new (to me) set-up, and the move out process. That was much appreciated! My overall experience renting at SSS has been great. Is recommend them.

We chose this location for our extra belongings as we were in the process of down sizing from a family home to empty nesting. The items that we stored were more or less items for our outdoor furnishings and amusements, as we wanted to retain many items in the event that we would find a cabin or hobby farm. This location and building site proved excellent for this purpose, with easy access in and out of the camera secured grounds. The one story buildings were super easy to navigate and the billing was simple and efficient. Also, a huge plus was the easy locale to 35W, 35E, Hwy 13 and Cedar Avenue. You can get just about anywhere and go any direction with terrific ease. At the conclusion of our storage contract, we found our items safe and secure in our dry storage locker. Considering our former experience of having our home furnishings in a temperature controlled storage facility elsewhere, I am grateful to have found this facility in Eagan, as it served our purpose of wanting to retain our valuables without the huge fee of storing at an indoor, multi level facility with huge prices. Thank you Simply Self Storage! You are worth your weight in gold!

With his help, I got the paperwork signed, got the right size space for my needs, put my belongings in storage, and was on my way, all in less than an hour. Chad is terrific!
