So normally when I move, I’ve had nothing but trouble with moving companies or storage units, but this place was PERFECT. Super convenient for what I needed, reasonably priced, and the process was super quick. The one thing I noticed about this certain location is that it was VERY clean. I was impressed to be honest. The access to the storage area was very easy, and big enough for moving trucks or larger vehicles to get through. There were other people there checking their units at the same time, but everyone seemed respectful. Lastly, the guy at the counter, I think he was the manager. Knew exactly what he was doing. Seemed friendly too, and answered all my questions. Nice job istorage. I’ll keep this in mind for the future!

I've been using this iStorage Self Storage since October 06, 2018 and I have been experiencing positive things most of the time during the many changes of managers. Each manager has given me help in so many ways. It would be helpful if those in upper management would consider the situation each renter is experiencing especially if there's a change of the way each renter receives the funds to pay for the unit at least in the same manner the property manager of each location does.

UPDATED: got my refund after 2 months so thought it was only fair to update my review 🙂 Amending my review and stars I had my storage unit for 6 months or so we moved out beginning of March 2022. Our March payment was automatically taken out of my account before so when I asked about a refund I was told I would get the full refund for the month of March that I was charged for. I’m still going back and forth trying to get my refund I was told 2 weeks ago it would go back into my original payment account and still nothing. The gentleman at the facility (manager) has been extremely helpful trying to resolve but getting nowhere. I will be calling corporate again as they dodged me too and told me I needed to call the location phone number who also seems to be dodging me. Absolutely ridiculous that a company would screw people over for a whole month of storage they didn’t use and does nothing about it. I will make sure anyone I know never uses iStorage

iSrorage is great, it was super easy to rent a space, the process went by really fast. Josh and Maddie was very pleasant and made my experience with iStorage great.

I got into town later than planned. I got to the location of storage unit and I found a closed office. Not sure what to do, so I knocked on the door next to office. The nicest young man Joshua greeted me. He asked me to hold tight as he needed to throw some shoes. We went into the office and he did everything I needed to get my storage unit. He even walked me down to the storage unit so I could see it and make sure it would be right for me. I want to thank him for being such a outstanding guy. I knew he was not working at the moment. Joshua went ahead and chose to help me no matter anyways. So thanks again you really saved me from a lot of stress and anxiety.

Toi whom it may concern: I've been at the Troost location for over fourteen years , and I don't get a lot of time to give a comprehensive , an objective review. the last several months I've notice a new face as I was driving through the lot to get to my unit..." N3" I noticed a new face on the grounds. As time went on from time ta time, occasionally id see the same Guy going from unit ta unit, and one day driving up, an down through the lot I stopped, and ask the fellow; " are you the new helper or what?". He said " Yep, sure am my name is Alex, if you have any concerns I'm on the ground all the time". I just wanted to say that Alex kind da gave me a new outlook, a new prospective on the turnover in management I've seen over the years, and the Guy seemed upbeat, a go-getter...., defiantly an asset in any Company. I recently rented a unit at istorage Self Storage. The process was easy going and simple. I was able to reserve a unit online. It was incredibly easy, when I had a question to send the manager my inquiry. To which I was promptly and kindly responded to when the office had opened. I can honestly say that if I ever need a storage unit in the Kansas City Leawood area I will most definitely return to iStorage Self Storage located at 8901 troost ave, KCMO this is officially my personal preference and Matt he's the man. The prices were fair and the process was just as wonderful as the customer service. Thank you Matt Hausman, for you help you have made a return customer out of me.

Had the very best experience renting a unit with iStorage. When I arrived I couldn't help but notice how clean the place was outside as well as inside. I was greeted by Alex, extremely professional and knowledgeable. I explained that I did not have a reservation, I hadn't expected to need a space and had no idea what i was looking for. Alex found avail spaces, took me to look at them, and found the right one for me. He asked identifying questions and suggested a larger space. I'm so glad that he did bcuz I wouldn't have had enough room. I'm very happy with iStorage bc of the service I received from Alex. It was above and beyond the service that I was expecting. I had to tell someone about my day. He explained my contract to me page by page, gave me my due date info, and gave me the holiday specials that they have going on. Alex also used my name when speaking to me and didnt even know me but I felt like we did. All of this greatness came out of a young man at the end of his shift for a poor little old lady that was clueless and last minute. I arrived 6 mins before they closed and he never once mentioned it or seemed unwilling to assist me. Thanks Alex H.
