Do I need Insurance?
Yes, insurance is a requirement for any storage unit. If you have homeowners or renter's insurance, it may also extend to your storage unit. Please check your coverage with your agent to see whether storage coverage is included or can be added to your policy. If you do not have your insurance, we require SBOA Tenant Insurance for your items. It is recommended that customers utilize our plan even if they are using their homeowners or renter's policy, as it prevents your insurance premiums from going up in the event of a claim and pays out prior to insurance claims.
Is Month to Month Leasing Offered?
All leases we offer are month-to-month. Whether you only need storage for a month or longer, there is no need to sign an additional lease to accommodate a greater need. Stay for as long as you will need storage without fear of lengthy commitments. While you are welcome to utilize your storage unit for less than a month, prepayment of one month is required and will not be prorated if your use is less than one month.
What documents do I need to reserve a storage unit?
A valid driver's license or Government-issued photo ID is required to rent a unit.
Is There Anything I Can't Store?
Certain items cannot be stored in your storage unit at ANY time. Here is the following list of things:

- Stolen Property
- Hazardous or Flammable Materials
- Drugs
- Explosives/Firearms/Ammunition

How can I pay my rent each month for my storage unit?
We offer many convenient ways to pay at our locations: automatic payments can be set up, credit card, check, and cash; online, in-person, and phone payments.
What is the difference between access hours and office hours?
Access hours are when our customers can access their units and either load or unload them. Office hours are the hours our office is open for business. Things that you may need during office hours include rent payment – should you opt to pay in person – purchase of additional moving supplies, and transferring or vacating a unit.

Storage units are very clean and work well for our needs however, the rent is ALWAYS being raised. We rent 5 units so it adds up. It seems for the last 3 months a unit has gone up in rent ranging from $16 to $25. Enough!!!

This is top notch of all the past lockers I've had. Plus multiple access points. The office is located by the west gate and will make work in the locker very helpful if I need supplies when sorting and packing. Location is perfect, near everything in Port Isabel. Easy parking and alleyways are wide. I got a climate controlled 10/15 after being on a waitlist. I plan to use this space to gather, sort, and sell, (ebay). A purging of sorts! Not all lockers are this comfortable to work out of. Will be money well spent..

Staff was helpful and courteous. Was looking for storage for my boat. Had no closed storage available but offered outside storage option which I was willing to take. They put me on a waiting list for closed in storage. Overall was a good experience.
Very easy to get checked in, friendly staff. But I think you over charge for what I got. We rent a storage unit at home big enough to park a full size car in for $90.00 a month.

The lady in the office is awesome she works hard to make it easy for her customers. However when I told her that the roll up door was really hard to open and if she can get someone to fix it. She said that she would try that she would put the request to have someone come out and see why the door is so difficult to open. She said that the repair request usually is ignored and nobody is sent out. I need that door to a point that I don’t have to struggle to open it
Everything was great
Excellent and prompt service! This a great location with great access and the facility is very very clean. I rented a 5x10 unit because I needed a place to leave some personal items while moving to a different state. Came back later and I honestly and willingly expected to find my unit with spiderwebs and or a critter/bug or two since it was a non-climate controlled unit, but when I returned 3 1/2 months later my unit and all my belongings were as clean and dry as I had left them. That sealed the deal for me.

4 Stars as of right now, renting the unit was quick through the online portal and then I received a call from the main office in order to verify information and she even switched the unit I was assigned to a different unit that was closer to the entrance, she didn’t have to do that so I appreciate it.

Great experience until I couldn't get in the gate with my code during non-office hours. Talked to the office the next day and was told it was working and that my code was fine. Next time I tried to get in after hours, the exact same thing happened. Frustrating to drive with a load of item, expecting to put them into storage but can't get in the gate so have to go back home and make another trip another day.

She was a delight to work in that she was so courteous and professional and was able to assist me. I thought I needed storage so I quickly made arrangements. When I realized I would actually need a UHaul truck for a complete move (no storage needed), my storage fees were refunded, and Ms. Brown helped me reserve everything needed for the move. It is refreshing to finally deal with a merchant like Storage Depot and a manager like Jennie Brown who is FAIR, HONEST AND HELPFUL. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thank you!
