This is a good location for temporarily storing my household goods but they should adjust the square footage they are advertising, at least for the "10 x 10" unit I rented. The inside space is really only 9 x 10 and thus I'm renting a space 10% less spacious than the advertised size.

Very good place to rent a storage

We had been researching storage companies with an interest in moving our household goods from Alaska to Washington. To complicate matters, we were living in Mexico while attempting to reserve multiple storage units in Vancouver. I was driving all of our goods in a U-Haul truck down the Alaska-Canadian highway into the US, and back west to Vancouver. The storage units around town were filling up fast and I worried about losing available storage at my destination. I considered the appropriate sizes, temperature control, security, access hours, and management support. After noting storage prices online, I received calls from a half dozen different company representatives who presented a sales approach that felt more like a job interview, and focused on selling us just any storage unit right away. Our call to Northwest Self Storage was very different. Their manager, Heidi, was friendly, proactive, well paced, and professional. She provided us with available sizes, prices, discounts, insurance coverages, controlled unit temperatures during different seasons, access hours, and website resources to help us make a well informed decision. Heidi explained everything clearly, answered all our questions, and helped us understand the agreement details, and each necessary step to securing our unit. Since I was out of country, everything was handled by phone, so attention to detail was important. Like you, my wife and I don’t like hidden fees or costly surprises by companies who withhold significant information that could hamper their sale. Heidi was direct, honest, transparent and she used her background and intuition to detect issues we had not even thought of. She made us feel comfortable in asking our questions at any time in the process. Some companies forget that new customers aren’t just storing their random stuff. There’s a reason we call them “valuables.” We were literally storing everything we owned and many of our life memories in those units. I was hauling our life goods down a smokey Canadian highway, a hundred miles from nowhere, with mountains interfering with my cellphone reception, when Heidi called with an available storage unit. Even after the phone call dropped several times, she waited for me to clear the mountains and call her back. We concluded my second rental agreement in the middle of the Canadian wilderness during a wildfire. That’s what I call dedication to her work and to her employer. I wish all managers were that committed to serving their customers. Working with Heidi, has always felt like having a family friend back in the states we could depend on. She has a positive attitude, lots of knowledge and experience working for Northwest Self Storage. Realizing I was driving in from out of state, she even shared information about the different businesses located near the area of my storage unit. Heidi has always been and still is, readily available, quick to answer the phone, and thorough when providing invaluable information about our rental decisions for long-term storage. She follows up on each correspondence with an email, and recently checked to ensure we were all on the same page and properly filling out complicated applications and forms on the computer. Heidi worked with us as a true advocate who listened carefully, acted promptly, and protected our interests as we considered storage choices. She then guided us through our second rental agreement, the computer sign-ins, and the payment set-up for auto-pay. We couldn’t be happier with her high standards of professionalism and are now loyal, long-term customers of Northwest Storage because of her. If you want that kind of customer service, making the process easy and understandable from the very first call, and with amazing follow through for quality control, Heidi at Northwest Self Storage (2410 SE 164th Ave.) would be your person to call. So far everything has been great. I did everything online to get into a unit and not even 5 mins later I got a call from Heidi. She wanted to introduce herself and give me a few tips on how things worked at the facility. She made sure I was all set to go and was extremely friendly. I went in to the office to put my driver's license on file and talked with her for a few mins. She is a great person to talk to in casual conversation as well as helpful on the business side of things.

Good service and Clean spaces

Carrie, the “Temporary Manager” was EXTREMELY helpful getting us going for code numbers and such. She’s very conscientious and accommodating. She’s a Great member for y’all to have on staff there at the 164th location in Vancouver, WA.

Heidi was very courteous and helpful.

I was able to rent a unit on short notice when it became clear that all our stuff wouldn't fit into our new house. Heidi was very helpful while showing me the various size options. She also took the time to reach out to me personally when auto payments were interrupted due to fraudulent activity on my bank card. We got the situation resolved without incurring any late fees. We've now found a home for all of our stuff and just emptied our unit. A great experience from start to finish over 13 months. You can find storage space anywhere.... but there's only one Heidi. Positively great people to work with and helpful every step of the way. We moved out of multiple units and into one larger unit. The Manager, Heidi, was great to work with and we were able to get it all done in one day.

Great service & receptionist,flexible open hours.

Overall experience with the unit and staff has been very good, but many interactions can only be done on their website which is seriously deficient. I needed to update my payment information and the site kept timing out before I could get all of the information input. Plus, there's no way to check what card is on file to confirm it was input correctly. Fortunately, this location has Heidi in the office who is on top of things. She gets all FIVE STARS!

The facility is very nice and clean. The people there are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Both Lara and Celina tried so hard to get our very best deal and the closest place to our location. Part of the reason I took off one star is because the doors are quite a bit more narrow than any other storage facility we have been at. (5) We had a 10x20 unit which is 2 10x10 units that have the middle wall taken out. They left the bolt that was used to anchor the wall in. It was a terrible trip hazard. I tried to put a marker over it until we had it covered with furniture. That was the other part of the reason I took off one star.. It has a freight elevator to the second floor and hand dollies and a small cart for bigger items. It held a lot by using the "Tetris" puzzle method! We are happy with it.

I have been a tenant for over 4 years. The staff has always been courteous and helpful. I have had no problems, and my things in storage are doing just fine. Now if I could convert it to a tiny house and live in it, it would be perfect.

It was my mother who choose the unit. It was close to her when she was living at the Fairway Village Touchmark. The reason she wanted this unit, is it was on the second floor and it has climate control.

I have had a storage unit at this facility for several years and have nothing but good things to say about them! Chulina has been wonderful and is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you are happy with your experience! The cost is comparable to other vendors but I wouldn't change locations even for a discount offer somewhere else! The security in place makes me confident that my belongings will be exactly where I left them on my next visit! Please make sure you stop by and check them out!

I was cautious after reading the reviews on here. But the Fishers Landing NW Self Storage is closest so we gave it a try. Glad we did. The NEW manager, Chelina, is amazing!! She not only found us exactly what we were looking for but tacked on a GREAT special to welcome us to her lot!! She is always available for questions and is friendly and knows what she is talking about. THIS PERSON GENUINELY CARES ABOUT HER CUSTOMERS. WE have been at the facility for a little while now and have had nothing but good things!! Thank you Chelina and thank you to the facility for being there during uncertain times.

Good clean facility

The front desk attendant was kind and helpful. But, my space needed to be swept and there should be a light in each unit so you can see what you are doing. For that amount of money there should be more!

I could not have asked for better customer service. They helped me a great deal to solve my dilemma. The facility is always clean. I have had a unit there for a year and a half. I have never been disappointed.

Northwest Self Storage is excellent. Their customer service is incredible, the units are clean, and I would recommend them without question.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for storage. Their facilities are very well kept, they offer many different sizes of units, climate control options, etc. The prices are the best around, they always have great monthly rates, but pay 6 months at a time and they will give you a great discount. I have a large unit that only ends up costing me about 40 bucks a month. Killer deal. There are two entrances to the facility, both gated with pin code entry, they have plenty of security cams, and you can put 2 locks on your unit, so you can be sure your stored possessions will be safe and secure. Also, the management and staff are very friendly and helpful. 5/5, two thumbs up, round of applause.
