Yes, insurance is a requirement for any storage unit. If you have homeowners or renter's insurance, it may also extend to your storage unit. Please check your coverage with your agent to see whether storage coverage is included or can be added to your policy. If you do not have your insurance, we require SBOA Tenant Insurance for your items. It is recommended that customers utilize our plan even if they are using their homeowners or renter's policy, as it prevents your insurance premiums from going up in the event of a claim and pays out prior to insurance claims.
All leases we offer are month-to-month. Whether you only need storage for a month or longer, there is no need to sign an additional lease to accommodate a greater need. Stay for as long as you will need storage without fear of lengthy commitments. While you are welcome to utilize your storage unit for less than a month, prepayment of one month is required and will not be prorated if your use is less than one month.

Access hours are when our customers can access their units and either load or unload them. Office hours are the hours our office is open for business. Things that you may need during office hours include rent payment – should you opt to pay in person – purchase of additional moving supplies, and transferring or vacating a unit.
Within moments of reserving a unit on line, I received a pleasant welcome by phone from Tammy. She was courteous and professional, just as she was in site to complete our transaction, when she simultaneously dealt with several customers while managing to make us all feel welcome. A great storage facility. We have kept our RV there for 4+ years. Covered storage is great. No issues even when hurricane Irma came through a few years ago. Management team is top notch, especially Belinda. She is the best! I would have happily given 5+ stars except for cost, which is very high.

Belinda is very professional and facility is well run, clean, safe, and military-friendly. Only caveat is pace and amount of rental rate increases (8.3% July 2020 and 13.8% March 2021 - rental went to $141.24 from $114.16 within two years).

This is the absolute BEST storage facility. It's clean and easy to access, always has a dolly and trash can nearby, and feels really safe and secure. The manager, Belinda is an absolute sweetheart who really took her time to show me around and let me compare different units, and was so sweet and patient with my fussy toddler. Payments were a breeze with auto-pay, and once we cleaned out our unit all I had to do was email Belinda and she closed our account. I would definitely recommend Hide-Away to anyone who needs a storage unit.
Hide-Away storage is a prefect place to store your RV, Boat, Vehicle, etc. The place is clean, the spaces are large and they also provide a dump station, water, and car wash area. Everyone one is courteous, attentive, and nice. Next time we need to store our RV we will definitely use Hide-Away!

I chose this place because it looked clean and well run. I had a 5x5 climate controlled unit full to the brim with boxes of records for the past three years. I started going through and emptying the boxes this summer and was so very pleased not to find one dead bug in any of my boxes. Thank you for staying on top of what is a very difficult problem to deal with in Florida. I would definitely choose to store my things here again!

Belinda and Jack were very professional taking care of our storage needs. The grounds and storage buildings are in excellent condition and well maintained. I would give Hide-Away a 5 star rating.

Clean nice facility. We reserved our unit on Friday. We got caught up on Saturday with a full truck realizing they were closing in 5 minutes and we were still 30 minutes away. Jack stayed late for us. He was pleasant and accommodating even when his family was waiting for him. Thank you Jack! You saved us from a real situation.

We need a place to store our furniture while our new home was being finished. We chose a climate controlled unit. The unit was spotless and easy to access whenever we needed to. Prices were very competitive. Would highly recommend.

Hide-Away Storage has recently expanded and the units are very clean. Belinda at Hide-Away provided excellent customer service! She took the time to show us a number of units to determine the size that we needed. She also was very pleasant with having to make changes after we reserve the unit. We didn't have a storage unit there long, about six months. My wife set it up to get the unit as a why to help with our move back to Greyhawk Landing. It worked fine, the unit was clean with no damage, bugs or pests. When closing out the unit I was really impressed when the gentleman behind the counter shook my hand and thanked me for my business. Also pleasantly surprised to receive a refund for the two remaking unused days I had paid for. While I hope not to need to get another storage unit, I would gladly return to this location!

We needed a storage unit last minute as our original plan fell through. The gentleman at the main #i called was so helpful, same for the onsite staff. Until my boyfriend arrived, the gentleman that oversees the complex offered several times to help and was so, so sincere. I would highly recommend this location for storage needs! We will be inquiring about rates for boat parking as well.
The staff at Hide-away were so helpful when I needed a covered spot in a pinch to secure my boat off AMI before Irma came to town. When it was time to get the boat back to the slip they were happy to send a credit to my card that very day. So nice to deal with friendly folks that are happy to help out in a pinch. Karen

The folks at Hide-Away storage were very helpful in light of Hurricane Irma bearing down on Florida. I had a boat at a local Yacht Club that I needed to get to higher ground and Hide-Away was able to accommodate me. The office manager (Belinda) at their Lorraine Rd facility was awesome and got me set up in short order. My boat is now safe thanks to Hide-Away.
This is a great company... The storage facilities are first rate, and I had 5 units over the last year at the Portal Crossing location near Lakewood Ranch (3 temp controlled, 2 non temp controlled). They have a kiosk where you can rent a unit at the gate 24/7 (including the lock which is dispensed by a vending machine), and then you have 24/7 access to the unit. That's not the whole story though.. We went through a lot especially this last year, and the staff (Ellen and Susan) were gracious and accommodating in helping us through some difficult times. They truly get my highest recommendation, and if there were 10 stars, I'd give them a 10.

Recently I had a tragedy in my family and needed a favor from Tracy and without hesitation she agreed and went out of her way to offer her help and support. Belinda is just as nice and easy to work with as Tracy, I found her demeanor to be extremely friendly and kind. I highly recommend this business to anyone needing a storage solution for boats, RV's or whatever else.
We used 3 units at Hide-Away Storage on Loraine Rd in Bradenton for about 6 months. They were very well priced, very friendly and very accommodating to our changing needs as we worked to transfer our stuff. The units are clean and the air-conditioning is always working. We can recommend them to anyone.
We have been customers of this storage location for 6 years. We have always received prompt professional courteous service when dealing with Traci, Belinda and Jack. Tracy and Belinda have gone the extra mile for us many times while we were out enjoying our RV that we store at Hideaway. Jack has always kept the grounds of the facility in order and clean. I have asked for my space to blown free of debris and I only had to ask once. I LOVE THE ENTIRE STAFF They are the reason we have continued renting at this location. We have a climate controlled indoor storage and outdoor storage Thanks for being there for us!
We were very happy that when Lakewood Storage was purchased by Hide-A-Way Storage that the staff remained - Tracy, Jack and the office staff have always been very nice and professional to work with.
