2nd Review -- I leased another unit at Southern Storage, great experience in that the rental process was easy. Rene took great care of me and set me up quickly. Things to know before going over there. They close for an hour for lunch everyday, which seems odd because they had 2 workers and you have to wonder why they do not stagger the lunch breaks so they do not lose customers who do not want to wait till they get back. There are plenty of storage facilities to drive to nearby if you do not want to wait for an hour for someone to come back. Also, a lock will cost you $16 and you have to bring proof of your home insurance coverage or you will need to buy their coverage for your contents. 1st Review -- Fantastic Experience! Andy and Tyler took great care of me when I leased a space at Southern Self Storage. They took their time helping me find a great unit suited to my storage requirements. I went today to get a storage unit and I was amazed by how helpful Andy and Becky were. They were warm and welcoming and walked me through the whole process. I even received a really good discount through one of their promotions. Access to the unit was easy and Andy walked me there to make sure my code worked and that I knew how to find the units location. I would definitely recommend them to any who is looking for a Climate controlled unit.

The facility itself is super clean, well lit, and is fully air conditioned. There are carts and an elevator and plenty of parking space right out front to come and do quick pick ups and drop offs. We get in with a code that is specific for us. We never see vagrants or people who appear to be lurking around. Very nice place!!!

Awesome facility that is HVAC controlled and in a great location. The ability to use their moving truck is a huge plus. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Just used their truck again to move lots of big furniture. A tiny $10 charge gets you all day access to this awesome truck!

Becky, the manager and Andy her assistant manager are wonderful to work with. They are both very helpful and accommodating. They make it very easy to work with, assist and make it so easy to sign up for the storage unit that you like and work to find other alternatives if a client is not happy with the one they have and work to find one that is more to their liking. I know my wife and I are very happy with our unit and would not look to go anywhere else in Destin as there are several storage units offering deals since they are so new.

Southern Self-Storage has been a very nice experience for us. Friendly service, excellent temperature controlled buildings, cleanliness, and No Pests (rodents) make this facility a 5 star. Before renting from Southern, we did experience the impact of rodents in our unit, so we have been very happy to find the contents of our unit undisturbed. Keep up the good work!

Sorry for the late review guys. But months later i have to leave this for you. Thank you for making your service the easiest part of my move. Becky and Andy got me into an ample amount of space at an affordable price and made the process simple. My things needed to be picked up by an overseas shipping company 2 months later and they made sure the packing was conducted efficiently. Becky and andy were extremely personable, understanding of my situation, and trustworthy and i cant forget to mention they even saved a kitten from a hurricane. Facilities are in perfect condition and the loaner van is a very capable vehicle.

Andy & Becky were very friendly and gave us a tour of the facilities. Very professional and helpful.

Southern is always clean, always well lit, and if there's anything not just right they fix it immediately. The staff is so friendly and extra helpful - they even offered me a bottle of water one day when it was really hot and we had moved a lot of stuff. There are always carts available to move my heavy items and I feel like my things are very safe with Southern.

Clean, quality, climate controlled storage facility. Becky and Andy are awesome and extremely friendly. They keep the place looking good. We've used this place for almost two years. The only reason we left is we moved to Arizona. Our only criticism is the continuous price increases. They got rid of our military discount, plus two price increases. Despite the price increases, this place is still the best storage facility in the area.

A very nice, climate controlled facility. It's large and well run. Many different sized spaces. Good security, and 24hr access. They have carts to transport your boxes from your car/truck to your storage space. Prices are competitive, especially for as nice of a facility as it is.

Becky and her staff are so friendly and helpful, and the facility is great. I love the huge covered portico between the 2 storage buildings because it provides shade and protection from rain when loading and unloading.

After visiting a couple of other storage facilities in the area & feeling underwhelmed by the lack of interest/professionalism shown, we decided to visit Southern Self Storage Destin. We were helped by Cindy who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She took her time understanding our needs & showing us various size units to ensure that we got the space that we needed. This facility is so much more than just a regular storage place. The staff is very helpful, kind , and they take that extra step you let you know that the items you have in storage are important to you! I’m very impressed! And another plus is the units price! Indoor with air conditioning and the prices are spot on! Very reasonable!!

Great service and rates!

We just signed up with Southern Self Storage in Destin. We were looking for a large climate controlled INDOOR unit. They are surprisingly difficult to find. Southern Self Storage is a large 3 story facility and they had what we wanted. It was very clean and nice folks to help us. Two elevators and they have freight carts to assist in the process. It gives me peace of mind to store there.
