Easy to access and friendly staff

Process of obtaining unit was fairly easy & price was affordable. However, the unit they gave me to store my automobile was in the very corner next to gate and extremely difficult to park in. Not looking forward to pulling car out after storm.

Friendly rental person. I believe his name was Michael. Good sense of humor and helpful.

Great Facility and the Manager Michael La Rocco is amazing there!

The price was a little higher than my previous place, but I love the fact that they have 24 hr access because my work hours made it near impossible for me to ever get into my storage unit where I was before. If I'm paying for the space and it's my stuff then I believe I should be able to access it whenever I want or have the time. I would've given 5 stars except for two things. The not-mandatory but we won't rent to you unless you purchase it $11 monthly insurance fee that covers pretty much nothing at all and the fact that I've already received my 1st letter stating they will be increasing my rent to keep up with the market. Unfortunately, in my experience, they all do this and this time will just be the 1st in multiple cases of "Market Increases" I get notified about. You cannot tell me that the market is changing enough to warrant that many spikes in my rental cost year after year. When I rented here before, years ago, within 2.5 years my $35 rental fee (plus $11 insurance that didn't cover my items inside?) ended up at $89 (plus that very important $11 for hell of it...I mean insurance fee). So, call me crazy, but I can't be the only one feeling like once they know you're all settled in the shake down begins.

I went to this place this morning to check out 2 units that I was interested and quickly the crew showed me both units and answered all the questions I had so I could decide which one would work best for me. The place is very clean and organized. They're very clear and kind and in only 15 minutes I had the keys, code for the gate and was all setup to start using it.

Each encounter with staff was helpful, pleasant and professional. The unit was clean and the door and latch worked smoothly. The real gem of this storage facility is a clean restroom that’s available even after hours(for whatever reason I always need one when I’m at my storage unit). A nice plus is 24hr access.

I am very impressed with Hide-Away storage. The facility on 17th St in Sarasota is top notch. The unit was pristine. I kept fine furniture there for 7 months and had zero issues. The manager, Kimberly is terrific. The prices are very competitive.

Personable service by management is always the standard. I always feel confident when leaving my possessions at Hideaway Storage.

I had my unit for approximately one year and never had a problem. The people that run this location were always friendly and helpful. I would usually pay 3-4 months at a time. The only down side to that is that when I vacated my unit I was told it would be pro-rated. To me I thought I would get money back as I still had a month that I had prepaid. They DO NOT refund any money you prepay, so they made an extra month off me. If you pay in advance BEWARE cause they keep it. That does not seem fair nor a way to get repeat business.

Professional, helpful and resourceful. Area very clean and well maintained, under air conditioning. Staff friendly, knowledgeable and personable and very easy to work with. Did not like that there were no readily available waste receptacles but understand why. But the staff was courteous enough to dispose of the 'small' amount of paper I had. Definitely recommend . Outside area easy on the eye.

Clean. Nice people. Reasonable rates. Good security. The quality of the interior storage could be better. The wood is thin and the chicken coop wire at the top could easily be broken or cut. The cameras, with twenty four hour monitoring however, makes me believe my belongs and I are safe.

The woman assistant manager answered all my questions and showed me a unit and even reserve a unit for me while I pursued other options. We just completed a 6-month rental of a 4x4x8 space at the 17th St. Facility in Sarasota. This is the 3rd short term rental there that we've had in the past 5-7 years. Every rental has been consistently top notch. The building and grounds are always very clean, well-lit and temperature-steady. Anne is great! If you have time and the move is local, rent portable storage units from Hide Away Storage. They are inexpensive and you can load them yourself. We rented 4 units, filled three of them with items to move where they came and picked them up and took them to the new house. We could then unload them at our leisure. (ok, moving is anything but leisure!) The fourth box we put decorations in and are using as a "Holiday" box. They will take it to their environmentally controlled storage facility and for a small fee, store it for the year. We call them and they deliver it at no additional charge. Great way to move!

I have used two of the Hide-Away Storage locations in the past. My first experience was in Ellenton and my most recent was on 17th in Sarasota, next to the Cat Depot. I had a wonderful experience at each of their locations. Staff (Sue, Ron, everyone) was always friendly and courteous, the facilities are as clean as a whistle, and the rates are the best I could find in town. They make the whole moving experience much easier. You will no doubt see me again in the future!

Our facility was actually on 28th Street Circle East. From the onset when Ron came to our home to view our belongings for an estimate, Hideaway was not only professional but honest and helpful in every manner. Ron arranged for a storage unit to be left at our former residence full of moving supplies we may need. We only paid for what we needed. Pam was patient and accommodating when we had to change the date of our moving date three times. Both set of staff who did the packing and moving were nothing but careful, polite and patient. Our move out of our home took 3 hours but we did not feel rushed in any manner. The most incredible experience happened after our move into our new home when I had to return to the storage facility to give furniture to a couple who purchased it on Craig's list. Ron was there to meet me and the couple who had driven that day from Atlanta with their adult son, David. The couple rented a Uhaul truck in Bradenton to then drive to Key West. Ron went above and beyond the call of duty and helped them load a long dresser, king size Rice bed and night stand. It took 45 minutes and he loaded it all almost single handedly! Did I mention that David, provided me with big hugs and warm smiles, as he is an adult with Down's Syndrome. Towards the end of the incredible experience, Steve, "the boss", walked up to us. I told him what an amazing staff he has and about Ron's help that day. Steve responded, "We do this all the time". The staff here is always friendly and courteous. I needed a place to store my things when I moved from TX to FL. So I rented a unit here, having never seen the facility. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at how clean and well kept it was. The unit was nice, with epoxy painted floors. No hassles. Definitely recommended.

If you are looking for a CLEAN, WELL PRICED FACILITY to store your items, Hide-Away Storage is just the BEST! I was from out of town and I came in to find a good location to store items for my ill brother. My mother had just passed away, and I was trying to do things in a hurry in a town I am not familiar with (I live in the greater Seattle area). I found them first because their pricing was good. When I went to walk the facility it is soooooo SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, I knew this was the right place. As I was talking with Maria (she is wonderful) I read on the wall that they are a Christian facility. Well, for me, I'm a Christian too, so that made it even better. As I worked with them long distance, everyone there has proven to be EXTREMELY HELPFUL. My brother recently passed away, and they worked with me long distance to resolve getting help in there to get things moved out. I had people coming a long distance to drive the car stored there, so they did things like made sure the car started, the lights worked, etc. They just have been so helpful. I'm actually going to miss working with all of them, but I can tell you from my personal experience, these people and the facility are just the best. It is so clean, I just don't think they have a single bug anywhere. Amazing. Thank you Hide-Away Storage for being so caring! God bless you guys!!!

Excellent storage for a great price! After checking on prices in sarasota, I found them to be very affordable. They were very nice on the phone and very nice when I came in. The place is clean, safe and convenient. I highly recomend it to anyone looking for storage. Yolanda Phelps
