The staff was courteous and professional while taking care of my needs. The security, lighting and cleanliness of the property are excellent. The location is very convenient to where I live. Besides all of the above, the 24 hour access is one of the main reasons that I chose this storage facility.

Excellent communication from sales staff, clean and secure. A good deal if you want to have a storage unit in old Arabi, Holy Cross or even Bywater neighborhoods. Also, ERICA is a dream of a manager. Great customer service and attention to detail. Their prices are a bit better than adjacent storage places.

Rented multiple units here over the last 4+ years and had a great experience every time. I really like the beautification happening on the property since Erika has taken over! When she's done with everything else, you can usually find her watering & caring for her plants. This is a nice indication of the attention to detail she takes to the job and is something you like to see from the manager of the storage facility where you are renting! With all the large chains moving toward off-site management, it's nice to find a place like Southern Self Storage where you can get the help you need from Erika and her team if any issues arise. Highly recommend!

Ms. Erika was and is an amazing representative! She helped us out and even gave us the best rates we could find! One of the best storages in Chalmette. Very sweet and nice people! I recommend them to everyone. My first day getting the storage was very stressful and I was having a very bad day but once I went in there they greeted me with welcoming arms and smiles and Ms Erika went straight into getting us into a storage in no time. All of the women who work there are great!

Also, the seven day grace period can be a lifeline when needed, nobody wants to lose things that mattered enough to put in storage in the first place. I highly recommend southern self storage!!

Erika. Erika. Erika. You better pay her because she is good. Efficient, friendly, warm, super helpful and just all around great person to have as your customer service rep. I called a few places and she was the only one to pick up. The only one to go look outside in the heat to see if the unit had what I need. And the only one I stopped in and got a storage unit from!

The lady who assisted me was superb! It was a last minute decision to get a storage unit and she made my day much better. Sweet and accommodating. Little did she know, I needed that, especially on that day!!!

Southern Self Storage of Arabi, LA is tip top when it comes to storage facilities, customer service, and overall piece of mind. The manager(Kelvin) of the facility treated me such respect, I felt as if I had been a customer for years and not just 3-months. Renting the unit was quick, seamless, and efficient. Closing out my rental was even faster. The entire staff(Gabby) is very friendly and highly motivated to help find potential customers exactly what they need, even if it is not at their facility, but a sister location close by. I rented and additional unit just because Kelvin made 1 simple phone call and was able to find more storage. If I could, I'd add a 6th star just for that. From day 1 of my rental Kelvin was very accommodating in allowing me to move my property into the unit a little bit after closing. Kelvin is the friendliest manager I have ever met and highly intelligent. I actually had to avoid Kelvin a couple because I knew, if I ran into him, I'd lose track of time and spend hours just talking about all things under the sun. There's a personal/friendly touch at this specific location. So, if you're looking for a storage unit(s) to rent, try here first. You will not be disappointed. He's a great person! Even better property manager! Copy and paste him; quick. I will definitely be repeat customer.

Great service from the manager Kelvin at the Arabi location. He was very informative and answered all my questions. The location was also really clean. I had a really good experience!

I had an awesome experience at this location. I was coming in from out of town to put my son's things in storage. My flight did not come in until late Sunday night and leaving back out early Monday morning. The manager of this facility told me not to worry and that he would meet me at the location once I arrived. Sure enough at 10pm Sunday night I called him and he came to the unit, opened the office, filled out the paperwork, and I was able to put my son's things in the unit until he returns to Xavier in the spring. Job well done. I appreciate the thoughtfulness and willingness to help a person in need.

I highly recommend Southern Self Storage Arabi! Kelvin, the manager, was very helpful and answered all my questions. He went out of his way to make sure I knew the right size unit to rent. While I didn't go with them, I still highly recommend them as the best storage in Arabi.
