After attempting to go to 4 other places that either said they would be open and were closed, or advertised a self service kiosk, I came to southern self storage shortly before closing. I was very frustrated with the other businesses wasting my time and Kelvin still helped me secure a unit, even though we ran past closing time. Im very grateful for his patience and help, and wish him well for his upcoming endeavor.

I have a storage unit at Jean Lafitte in Chalmette, La for a couple of years, Lorri that works at Jean Lafitte is the best. She has that bedside manner. She is very professional, her patience is great. No matter whenever you call or stop in, she always has time to talk to you. The storage units are great because they are so clean, the outside of bldg is always so clean and I think the times for units are great too. Overall, there is nothing that has to be changed, it is perfect.

HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!! 11/19/2021 Our experience at Southern Storage in the Chalmette’s office was awesome AGAIN!! 😍 The agent Lorri helpfully, helped my husband and I over a year ago and as before Lorri was phenomenal 💞 I must say, Lorri doesn’t disappoint 💞 I’ve been in the battle of breast cancer and if you’re not knowledgeable about Chemotherapy, well, let me educate you. Chemo tends to have you losing memory short time. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Therefore, I wasn’t able to remember exactly what size unit I needed nor was I able to remember which size we used last time we rented a unit here. But, again, Lorri was VERY VERY PATENT with me. Lorri was able to help me Beyound Measures AGAIN. Unfortunately my husband wasn’t able to come due to his work schedule. Very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, decided to go elsewhere when I was told I’m required to buy insurance for the unit. If insurance is required, the advertised rate should be the total including insurance. Not one rate + required insurance.

Wow! I've been to ALOT of storage facilities and I must say...the people here are top notch! They are friendly, sweet, and caring! I had an incident delaying the business matter we shared...and they were soooo understanding!! Amber an Lori made me feel comfortable and told me not to worry...it all works out....and it did! It was a little later than expected, but we were able to complete our transaction and we were all still happy at the end of it! This is NOT the norm!! It seems people get so wrapped up in.....I don't know....themselves, that their compassion or empathy for the next person has all but dissappeared!! There's not a whole lot you can say about storage facilities all you do is go in and drop your stuff off lock it up come pick it up when you need it they provided that needs so hey what can you say
