Yes, insurance is a requirement for any storage unit. If you have homeowners or renter's insurance, it may also extend to your storage unit. Please check your coverage with your agent to see whether storage coverage is included or can be added to your policy. If you do not have your insurance, we require SBOA Tenant Insurance for your items. It is recommended that customers utilize our plan even if they are using their homeowners or renter's policy, as it prevents your insurance premiums from going up in the event of a claim and pays out prior to insurance claims.
All leases we offer are month-to-month. Whether you only need storage for a month or longer, there is no need to sign an additional lease to accommodate a greater need. Stay for as long as you will need storage without fear of lengthy commitments. While you are welcome to utilize your storage unit for less than a month, prepayment of one month is required and will not be prorated if your use is less than one month.
A valid driver's license or Government-issued photo ID is required to rent a unit.

Access hours are when our customers can access their units and either load or unload them. Office hours are the hours our office is open for business. Things that you may need during office hours include rent payment – should you opt to pay in person – purchase of additional moving supplies, and transferring or vacating a unit.

The man who was in the office with her was not so nice , there was a family walking in at 1230 he in front of me says we are closed we close at 1230 basically like what are they doing . it was extremely unprofessional & unkind. especially seeing as it was a black family & right before them there was a white woman that walked in & he had no problem with her. other than that it was all around nice !

This Storage Pup mobile storage unit is 100% better than the Pod we rented several years ago. Much higher quality and better constriction. Our delivery driver walked me around the unit and explained everything. He gave me his cell # to call if I had any questions. Outstanding!

Hurricane Ida caused severe damage to our Southern Self Storage unit in Laplace, LA. We lost quite a bit of our personal belongings. However, with the help of Amber, the GM of the local facility, we were quickly moved into a new climate controlled unit for our salvageable belongings and were given clear, concise instruction on how to file insurance claim. We greatly appreciate Amber’s quick response, professionalism and dedication to the customer, despite severe set backs due to the devastating hurricane. Her work made our loss much more manageable. Melanie has always run a top notch operation. It’s always well kept, carpets are always clean and she has carts available for you to move your belongings around. Melanie has always been professional and friendly to me and my family. She knows how to get along with people, she will also pick and play a bit in a good and friendly sort of way. In fact I’m pretty sure she’s probably never met a stranger. No matter what the sign says on the outside, it’s the people on the inside that count the most.

I was warmly greeted by Miss Melynie Wright and Mr Bart Weber, I had many questions and they took their time answering my questions . Miss Melynie and Mr Bart was well knowledgeable, Mr Bart was very patient it didn't matter what I asked or how many times I asked he responded with a smile. I was treated as if they had known me for years. I was very pleased with the encounter, Miss Melynie shared her favorite candy with me lol,I have rented many stroage units but not like this it excel them all carpet on the floor, CLEAN carpet the unit was clean the outside was clean the whole property was nicely kept and clean. Melanie is the greatest! She always offers to help any way. I reserved a unit online and the day I was moving in was going to be stormy on the afternoon. She called to get my info so she could have everything ready for me when I got there so I could miss the rain. The units are great. They have carts inside to help carry your stuff and the entrance to the climate controlled buildings are covered! Definitely getting another one here.
Southern self storage is under great management. Melynie Wright is an awesome person. Great customer service. She is also super active in the community which is a benefit to the company.

My husband and I had been searching for very affordable outdoor storage in Southern Louisiana for our trailer for a while and happened upon CubeSmart in Laplace; not only is the storage affordable, but the facility is clean, modern and very secure. As nice as the physical property is, the best part of the experience has been our dealings with the Manger, Melanyie Wright: Melanyie is friendly, efficient and willing to go the extra mile to make sure the customer is satisfied. Recommend without qualification!

There's not enough words to tell about this company. My family and I lost just about everything in a house fire this week and after going back and forth trying to get help assistance anything, we finally came to the conclusion we needed a storage to store what we did salvage. We came across this company located on hwy 51 in laplace Louisiana. Immediately not even 5 minutes into talking with the manager and assistant they quickly offered not only storage discounts , they offered personal help disaster information to further aid us while homeless. We truly thank God for these angels. The storage room is just what we needed , clean roomy and reasonable. Thank you Ms. Melynie Wright and Cheralyn , may God continue blessing you.
If your looking for a storage Cubesmart( Hwy 51, Laplace) is the place to look. Staff(Charilyn) is very friendly and Management(Melynie) is very friendly and knowledgeable, property is always clean and well maintained at all times. My second time doing business at this location and will choose(Cubesmart) again if needed.

The manager keeps the grounds very clean.
We used A Storage Inn in LaPlace for short-term storage of our travel trailer while staying in New Orleans with family. Melynie Wright was great to work with. She was far more service oriented and accessible than any manager of a storage facility we have ever used. The storage facility was easily accessible and clean. A gate with locks secured the outside storage. There was ample room to park our rig and sufficient room between rigs parked in the outside area. We would defiantly use A Storage Inn in LaPlace again if in the area and in need of storage for our trailer.
When I initially put my family and I things in storage, the plan was for a month. I explained my situationship to Ms. Melonie (sp?) and she gave her recommendation on a unit, size and price to fit my limited budget. Although that month turned into one month shy of two years, A Storage Inn, Laplace staff was EXTREMELY helpful in helping me to maintain my storage unit. Ms. Melonie (site manager) is amazing! She's helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the units she's providing. No matter the number of times I called to inquire about something (usually my payment), she patiently took her time to make sure I was satisfied. I would recommend A Storage Inn to anyone. Their units are clean and the facility is nice. I pray I don't ever have to get another storage unit, but if I do, it will definitely be at an A Storage Inn location. Melanie is the best!!! Without her, I believe the facility would be sub-par. She is always friendly and always works hard to keep the place clean and up to par. I don't like how the company will charge a late fee if the balance is paid, but there was a small late fee. The owners continue to charge late fees on top of late fees- something is not right with that picture. I only stay because of Melanie!!!! If she left, we would leave!!
Highly recommend. Easily accessible, convenient, clean and safe. Great on-site management. So glad we didn't need to go to Kenner or Metairie for storage unit.
Written on January 9, 2014 Love, love, loooove the staff at the LaPlace facility! I've had to use A Storage Inn on and off for the last few years, and I don't regret the decision at all. Clean facility, competitive prices, and easy access makes this an easy choice.

After Hurricane Issac hit Laplace, I needed storage space. The managers at this office were there with all their support and they had no power as well. They did what they had to do in extreme circumstances. I will use this facility again and highly recommend it to everyone.
