Although an appropriate space wasn't available for me at this location, Ann went above and beyond helping me look into other iStorage options. She provided answers to questions before me even having to ask them and gave suggestions on how to keep my money in mind. As it turns out, I merely ended up getting a new and more useful space at my current iStorage location. Were it not for Ann's fantastic insight and outgoing willingness to help, I may still have been frantically looking for a storage replacement just mere days before my lease's end.

The staff were very helpful in answering all of my questions as a first time renter. The access hours here are much later and more convenient than any nearby storage facilities. Better rates too!

This place is really great. I moved from a big house to a small apartment and needed a bunch of stuff stored where it would be safe. Three years later, I’ve never had any issues. The staff are nice, the place is secure, stuff always works, no one has been here that made me feel unsafe, and it’s right on a main highway. Highly recommend!

This is my go-to storage place as a student who is constantly moving. Front desk is efficient, helpful, and friendly, and the facility is clean and easy to access. I'm a business owner and frequently need to rent units all over the US for short periods or longer. I had the best experience renting over the phone with Sonia. She was smart, helpful, and efficient. Not to mention, she spoke as if she had a smile on her face the entire time. How customer service SHOULD sound! I usually dread the process of renting units as I often need them to accept deliveries OR allow me to keep a key on file... she made it easy for my employee to access the unit and met all of our needs. Why there are only 4.9 stars is beyond me... there should be a full 10 STARS for this place!

I don’t usually give 5 stars or even leave reviews at all. I felt it was necessary to do so after the excellent customer service I received. The site manager Raven went above and beyond on several occasions to make sure my needs as a customer were not only met, but she also made sure I was satisfied. Very friendly, very polite, and very good at her job. She not only helped resolve my issues, but did so with a smile. She even helped me outside of office hours, where she went above and beyond my expectations and she was happy to do it!! You just don’t see that often and it was something I felt compelled to share. 5 stars well earned and deserved.

Who doesn't want to drive in to drop things off on the second story of the warehouse, up a steep curved ramp, across a bridge that's only wide enough for your massive U-Haul truck with a manual transmission, that untill this morning you'd never driven a stick, let alone one with six wheels? Well I did out running out of toilet paper this morning so that put things into a better perspective. Love this place!

Positive: the people who work here are super nice and pleasant. The place is an old warehouse and is mostly full ; the open units are way in the corner down a winding series of hallways. What can you do, storage is surprisingly hard to come by many places.

Ann, Kevin, and Shannon have all been super helpful and thoughtful, both with me and with my daughter who was there to move me out today. (I’m about 1500 miles away at the moment). They’ve made storing there easy and pleasant and I enthusiastically recommend iStorage Hiawatha North.

Edit: the elevator is fixed! I like everything about the place--except the broken elevator. It's been broken more than a week and there's a second one, but it's at the other end of the building. Looking forward to when it is fixed since the facility, staff, etc are otherwise great.

I must say that I am very pleased with my storage unit and great service from the friendly staff. I like the fact that it's climate control, locked entries, and security camera surveillance. Staff were very helpful answering questions, helping our institution determine unit sizes needed, and even choosing which unit we chose.

I asked Ann about which other units were available as I had outgrown the one I had. She gave me a list of unit numbers, their sizes, and the rent of each and I visited all three and decided to think about it. The next day I revisited the two I felt would best meet my needs and chose the largest one. Ann was very helpful in guiding me through the process of changing units. I have had one or more units in this facility most of the time since 2011 and have always enjoyed very friendly, professional, and helpful contacts with the staff and would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing a storage site.

this is a fantastic option for storage. being able to book online and make every necessary arrangement to begin moving in without needing to stop at a desk is incredibly convenient. that said, the two employees with whom i interacted on the several occasions on which i had questions were both amazingly friendly, professional, and helpful. no attitude whatsoever and straightforward & kind. really made taking care of business here very easy. the facility itself is great, too; very clean and easy to navigate. elevators, lights, dollies, etc. all working. as an additional bonus, the code sign-in box displays your name in a welcome message after you've entered your access code ... and, though this should seem inconsequential, i found it oddly ... welcoming ... every time i saw it. highly recommend this place!

I needed a unit for only a few months. They had one available and I was able to store stuff right away. Good service and a convenient location!

Perfect garage type storage as the interior has concrete floors, and the units are not heated. Reasonably priced and centrally located with good access hours and security. You can rent units that you can pull right up to or others that are down a small hallway. Great service as well. Ray is very helpful. My only complaint is that they sign you up where you pay for insurance but if you have renter's or homeowner's insurance, your storage unit is covered and you don't have to pay through iStorage.

Never rented a storage unit, so didn't really know how the process would go. However everyone that works here is very knowledgeable.Their website is pretty easy to use, however is you have any questions, they take the time to help.

This is my first time renting a storage space and Ann made the process easy, even though I am a somewhat needy customer. I fussed over unit sizes and she showed me over 5 units (I actually can’t remember how many) but was very patient and accomodating he whole time. Also after I rented a unit I decided to switch to a different unit a week later and she was, again, very accomodating. The staff here are knowledgeable and enjoyable, engaging folks. Every time I have come into the office for something I always leave laughing or smiling. I’m happy to rent a space at a place where I feel welcome and safe. I recommend this facility, for sure. Easy access to units, central location, lovely staff. All in all A++

The people working here are super friendly and accommodating. I found this facility to be very convenient, with good hours of access and plenty of space for people to work around each other when there were more than a couple of us in the same area (which rarely occurred in the first place: I usually had the place to myself). The prices are fair, the space is clean, and the people are nice. 10/10 would rent a space from them again!

I appreciated that the property managers were onsite during posted hours when I stopped in. Helpful and friendly. Havent' stored anything here yet, but they've left a very good first impression. I found Simply Self-Storage after having a negative experience at a different storage facility. I arrived at SSS just before closing time. Ann and Kevin were absolutely wonderful! They even stayed past their work shift to ensure that I was able to obtain the storage space that I needed. They provided excellent customer service and were pleasant, friendly and very proffesional. I was extremely impressed with their knowledge of SSS goods and services and they also answered all of my questions thoroughly. Both Ann and Kevin have a great sense of humor and that helped to relieve some of the stress and anxiety that I was feeling when I first arrived at their facility. I would highly recommend Simply Self-Storage to all of my family and friends. I had a great experience and I am certain that others will as well. Thanks Ann and Kevin, you two are an awesome duo!!!

The customer service at this location is above and beyond what I expected. When I let them know I hired movers with a big truck, Ann tried to get me a unit as close as possible to an outside door since the truck was too big to drive inside. Ann was also very helpful when I moved out. The place is climate controlled. My things were stored all winter and I didn't notice any issues. The building was always clean and I never saw any trash. The only thing was that I noticed mouse droppings in my unit when I moved out which is probably to be expected in a large place like that.

Best customer service around, we moved to st Paul but we still use them. Ray is the best.

I’ve stored my belongings at this store 3 different times and Ray has always made it so easy. He goes out of his way to make sure I have exactly the right unit. I trust him to deliver the best service available so Simply Storage is my go-to storage every time I need it.

I have had several friends rent storage units at this location, and had been in and out of the facility. Its a nice facility as far as storage facilities go. What I hadn't had was any staff interactions. The staff were very helpful and able to answer our questions.

I came to this storage unit having no experience with storing my things. Ann Abrahamson, the Associate Property Manager, was so patient and kind on my first day there. She was efficient in explaining how everything worked. In the many trips to the unit over almost 2 years I found the other staff (Kevin) to also be friendly and helpful.

Simply Self Storage was a great place to store our stuff after we got married. They were easy to work with and very accommodating. This facility is very accessible and convenient to anyone who lives anywhere near Hiawatha / Minnehaha Falls.

I have used the Self Storage Hiawatha II location many times through the years, and have been given prompt and courteous service every time. If you want to keep your items in a safe and clean environment, I highly recommend this facility.

Nice facility and lication...very secure!

I really recommend this place! The front desk was very friendly, helpful, and efficent. There were carts for easy moving and the place is well set up for easy in and out. My favorite part is that all the moving process can be done inside : you enter your code and drive into the building where you find a spacious one way tunnel to drive up to your section, park, and unload in a warm enviornment. It is really well set up: other places I've used make you pull up to a loading dock outside and haul your stuff through a maze to get to your locker. The hours are also pretty nice ( 6am -10pm with your personal entry code). Overall highly recommended!

Ann and Kevin made the process easy with friendly help. Their estimate on my storage need was accurate. While it is kind of a maze, the signs leading to my unit were clear. And by giving them your ID, you can use one of their carts which sped up the transfer enormously.

Kevin greeted us warmly, explained the policies, and showed us to our choices. He consulted on what size we needed and then showed us a couple of options. The unit was so clean and ready to move in. The whole place was clean. We looked at the storage place further down Hiawatha first. No comparison. This is a good storage company.

From the very first consultation May 2013 to the final notice conversation on 30 December, 2016 the staff was professional, very kind and comfortable to work with. A choice to move out of my home of 15 years was very difficult and painful. My son and I were treated with respect, compassion and empathy for our situation which allowed us a sense of security and the reassurance necessary to make the decision to store our treasured items. This was more than just "stuff" to us...it was all filled with memories including my childhood piano I had for more than 35 years. The facility is clean, dry, temperature controlled, and well lit. The hours are great and the lockers are easy to access. Carts are plentiful, although they are under lock and key; investing in your own flat cart or dolly is money well spent. I highly recommend.
